The Swift RL is Petzl's most powerful compact head torch: 1,200 lumens from a lamp that weighs just 92g. It's a favourite with fell runners, ski tourers and anyone moving fast in the dark.
Its Reactive Lighting mode uses a light sensor to adjust the brightness and beam to what you're looking at. You get the light you need without thinking about it, and the battery lasts much longer. At medium brightness in Reactive mode it runs for at least 7 hours. Double-tap the side for a 6-second boost when you need to check the route ahead. The beam reaches up to 168 metres.
The split headband holds steady when you run, the comfort foam comes out to save weight, and a reflective cord helps you stay visible. The 2,250 mAh battery charges by USB-C in about 5 hours, and it keeps 90% of its burn time at -5°C.
