The NAO RL is Petzl's flagship head torch for trail running, ultras and long nights on the hill. It puts out 1,500 lumens and weighs 145g, with the battery at the back so the weight is balanced and it doesn't bounce.
Reactive Lighting uses a sensor to adjust the brightness and beam automatically, so you get the right light for what you're looking at and the battery lasts much longer. In Reactive mode at the standard level, it runs for at least 5 hours. There's also a rear red light with its own button, so people behind you can see you.
The 3200 mAh battery charges by USB-C in about 3.5 hours, shows its charge on a five-level gauge, and can even top up your phone or watch. A spare R1 battery is available for long races.
